This is a new venture for me. I spend minimal time on the computer, but on rethinking the blogger thing, it seems it may be a great investment of my time. I can share with family and friends what is happening in our lives, while journaling it for myself as well. I plan to print out my blogs, and put them in a book for our children. Virtual information is nice and all, but I still prefer the tangible.

This last week we took the girls to see a Quad City Swing baseball game at the John O' Donnell Stadium which is situated along the Mississippi River in Davenport, IA. We went with Laurie and Edgar Crockett and their two adorable children Ella and James. All four kids were a part of the summer reading program and were given free tickets on completion of their reading requirements. The girls thought this was "GREAT" fun to get payment for doing what they love best. At the stadium all of the readers got to march around the field...so cute.

I am adding a small entry at the bottom of this listing to hold our family picture. This picture was taken in the Smokey Mountains near Gatlinberg, TN in June of 2006.
