We had an awesome trip back to America with a 4 day stop in Rio. Tony and Bernie met us at the airport which was such a sweet suprise.

Salto Do Yucuma is over 1 mile and 1/8 long--the longest waterfall in the world. We went here in late May with some visiting Americans.

We are back home as of today, from our five week stay in the U.S.. We had an awesome time!!! I am going to include some pictures here of some places we visited before we arrived in the States June 18th (Salto Do Yucuma and Rio de Janeiro).

Here are some pictures of our trip to Gramado and Canela. It was cold and rainy all 5 days, but we still had fun exploring the amazing natural parks, shopping in the gorgeous German towns, eating chocolate from the local factories, visiting the old German house (pictured above) built entirely without nails (notice the gorgeous cookstove that is still in use to make apple strudel--very yummy), staying at our cozy B & B, eating at the Ratatouille Restaurant, and exploring the Steam Museum (pictured above with the train coming out of the building--very cool). The beauty of this place is amazing. I wish we could do a better job of capturing it on film. There are waterfalls everywhere throughout this mountainous region of the state. It's gorgeous beyond belief.
